Privacy policy
What we collect, why, and the controls you have. Last updated October 2026.
What we collect
- From Google sign-in: your name, email address, profile photo and a Google account identifier.
- What you add: profile details, resumes, portfolio links, applications, discussions, comments and messages you send us.
- Technical data: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) used for security and troubleshooting.
What we do not do
We do not sell or rent personal data, show advertising, or use advertising or analytics trackers. The only cookies we set are needed to keep you signed in and protect forms.
How we use it
- To run your account and the features you use.
- To show your profile according to your privacy settings.
- To send notifications you have not turned off.
- To keep the service safe and moderate abuse.
Who can see what
Your profile visibility is controlled in Settings → Privacy. Resumes and applications are private. A resume is shared only with an employer when you apply with it. Employer notes about candidates are never visible to candidates.
Sharing
Information is shared only as described above, with infrastructure providers who host the service on our behalf, or where the law requires it.
Your rights
- Access and export: download your data from Settings → Account.
- Correction: edit your information at any time.
- Deletion: delete your account from Settings → Account. Your data is removed permanently.
Retention and security
We keep data while your account exists and delete it when you do, except for short-lived backups and records we must keep to prevent abuse. Connections use HTTPS and access to data is limited to the volunteers who need it.
